Walk & Vote ("Walk & Vote," "we," "us") provides door-to-door canvassing and field-logging software for political campaigns and organizations. This policy explains what information we handle and how.
There are two kinds of data, with two different roles:
To provide the service: shared team logging, dashboards, follow-up to-dos, maps, reports, and exports; to process plan payments; to maintain security and prevent abuse; and to contact you about your account. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your canvass data for our own marketing.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and safeguards. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Campaign and canvass data is kept until the campaign deletes it (managers can delete a campaign and all its data at any time) or the account is closed. Deleting a campaign permanently removes its contacts, to-dos, canvassers, and settings.
We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and reputable hosting providers to protect data, and we work to improve these safeguards over time. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure. Because canvass data can include personal information about members of the public, campaigns should collect and share only what they need and handle it responsibly.
You can access, correct, export (CSV), or delete data through the app, or contact us for help. Individuals who wish to know whether a campaign holds information about them should contact that campaign, which controls its own records.
Walk & Vote is intended for adults running or volunteering on campaigns and is not directed to children under 16.
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change and material changes will be noted in the app.
